In San Pedro at the Festival of St. Juan

Preparing the coals for the Coal Walkers. The emotion that is displayed in the crowd and the tears from the Coal Walkers families gave me goosebumps. Sure, it's unusual but the festival as a whole was a lot of fun. Outside the arena, there was dancing in a large courtyard which was the centre of the town. There were large outside bars around the courtyard as well. It looked like a big nightclub with no roof.
Waiting outside the gate to get into the arena. There were thousands of people from all over Spain in San Pedro to bear witness to this event. Many did not make it into the arena and tried to climb the walls to get a glimpse. People lined up hours in advance to get a seat. We got priority seating before anyone thanks to the Alvero who has more connections than Kevin Bacon.
